We are planning a trip to Allaire State Park in Allenwood, NJ to tent camp at the group campsites from Friday evening until Sunday morning, 4/28/17 – 4/30/17. The trip will include a bike ride to Manasquan and back on the Edgar Felix Bike Path on Saturday. This is a flat, paved bike path. *PLEASE NOTE THAT BSA REQUIRES THAT ALL SCOUTS MUST WEAR A HELMET WHEN RIDING A BICYCLE.  We will be stopping at Dairy Queen in Manasquan for ice cream. The price for scouts is $35 and includes camping, meals and ice cream. There is no fee for chaperones that are camping for the weekend. This is a family event and immediate family members, including parents and siblings, may participate in our bike ride on Saturday. *Please keep in mind that the round trip bike ride is approximately 10 miles (5 miles each way), so it is NOT recommended  for very young bike riders. There is no fee for the bike ride. Family members that would like to purchase ice cream may do so on their own. Family members may also join us for dinner on Saturday night if interested.  The fee for dinner is $5.00 per family member.

The Troop will be meeting at Allaire State Park/Group Campsite B, 4001 Squankum-Allenwood Rd, Allenwood or Wall (depending on the GPS), NJ  08720 on Friday evening, 4/28, at 6:00pm. All scouts attending must be accounted for at that time. Everyone is responsible for your own transportation and must supply your own bike. Scouts will need to bring dinner with you for Friday evening. *Please note: Anyone needing assistance with transporting a scout and/or their bike please contact Mrs. Goldberg for additional transportation arrangements.

For family members that will be participating in the bike ride, we will be leaving from our campsite on Saturday morning, 4/29, at 10:00am. Please arrive a few minutes prior. *PLEASE NOTE THAT STATE LAW REQUIRES THAT ANY BICYCLE RIDER UNDER 17 YEARS OLD MUST WEAR A HELMET. Family members that are staying for dinner are asked to leave the campground no later than 7:30pm.

Scouts should be picked up at our campsite on Sunday, 4/30, at 10:00am. For any other arrangements or changes, you must notify the scoutmaster in advance.

***Deadline for permission slips & fees: Thursday, April 20, 2017***   Also, dues must be paid up to date in order to participate.
