Announcements:
  • The scouts had a great trip to Washington, D.C.
    • Mr Malko praised the A-1 behavior and conduct.
  • Recent advancements:  (*)
    • Chas Morse achieved the rank of Life Scout
    • Isaac Harasty achieved the ranks of Tenderfoot and Second Class
    • Kyle DiGirolamo achieved the rank of First Class
    • Andrew Christie achieved the ranks of Tenderfoot and Second Class

This weekend:
  • Memorial Day Service Project:  Fri, May 27 -- 4pm
    • Flag decorating at Veterans Cemetery, 350 Provinceline Rd, Wrightstown (map with directions)
    • WEAR Class A uniform.  BRING: water bottle or canteen.  ARRIVE by 4pm.
    • Details about getting to the right place:
      • Take Rt 537 past Great Adventure
      • Turn right on Province Line Road
      • Pass golf course, see Veterans Cemetery on the left
      • Pass the first two entrances on the left
      • Go up hill, and follow Province Line Rd as it curves to the left
      • Then pass the third entrance
      • Turn in on the fourth entrance, and look for others from Troop 150
      • Please plan to arrive 4pm; flag emplacement begins 5pm
      • Light supper (hot dogs) will be served
    • A light supper will be served afterwards (hot dogs, etc)

  • Gardening Merit Badge: Sat, May 28, 11am, at Rancho del Malko (Eric's house) (map)
    • All supplies will be supplied
    • Wear clothes for working in the garden  

Next week & weekend:
  • Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge starting Thu, June 2, 5:30p at the church (before Troop meeting)
    • Mr. Karn will be starting an Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge.  Request your your blue cards from Mr Malko soon.
    • This is an Eagle required badge (choice of emergency Preparedness or Lifesaving)
    • First Aid Merit Badge is required to take the badge. (No exceptions are possible; it is a written requirement)
    • Please note that this badge is HARD. There is alot of written work, and there will be at least one all-day field session on a weekend. The classes are likely to extend into the summer. Younger scouts may want to wait for future sessions.
  • Camp Swim Test:  Sun, Jun 5, 4pm-6pm, at Freehold YMCA
    • Arrive promptly to do swim test
    • We may do a short service project afterwards: more details TBD

  • Dining to Donate Fundraiser:  Tue, June 7 -- at The Cabin restaurant
  • Spring Court of Honor:  Thu, June 9 -- near Rancho del Malko
