Greg Karn and I attended the Ockanickon 2017 Leader’s meeting today and I have to say being there brought back many good memories…there are some old rules some new, some old badges some new, some old activities some new. For any new scouts attending summer camp we will have an informational meeting as time nears but some basics that were covered today were:

  • All scouts must have a completed BSA medical form, parts A, B & C signed by a physician. This must be completed and provided to the scoutmaster by 7/15/2017. Scouts at camp without medical forms will be sent home. You can find these forms for your doctor at:  http://www.scouting.org/scoutsource/HealthandSafety/ahmr.aspx

  • Only campers and Troop leadership will be allowed onsite throughout camp week. Parents are welcome at Sunday drop off and for closing ceremonies on Saturday at pick up. On Saturday there is a camp closing ceremony on the parade field and a troop closing ceremony at the campsite. Parents are welcome to both, but non-campers are not allowed onsite at camp throughout the week.

  • The Final Ockanickon Camp payment opportunity is due in full on 5/25 and is $450.00
    • The Webelos crossover rate is due 5/25 and is $400.00
    • Checks made payable to Troop 150
