We will be camping at Sandy
Hook Gateway National Recreation Center from Friday evening until Sunday,
4/25/14 to 4/27/14. The price is $25.00 per scout. You will need to bring
tents, sleeping bags, personal gear, class B uniforms, and protective footwear
suitable for water (ex: water shoes or an old pair of sneakers). We plan on having a campfire, taking a beach
walk, a bay walk, seining in Horseshoe Cove, and taking a historical walking
tour of Sandy Hook. On this camping trip you may bring
along a friend that may be interested in joining our troop. There will be no charge for your friend. In order for them to accompany us on this camping trip, they
must attend our meeting on 4/24/14, fill out a permission slip with parent’s
signature, and complete a Boy Scout Application. You can pick up an application for them at our next meeting on April 10th so that they can fill it out in advance or they can pick one up and fill it out at the April 24th meeting. The Troop will be meeting at the Hope Lutheran Church on Friday evening at 5:00 PM for departure. All scouts attending must be accounted for at that time. For any other arrangements or changes, you must notify the scoutmaster in advance.
