Signaling Merit Badge

If you are interested in completing signaling merit badge please plan on attending the session on 12/2 prior to the troop meeting at 5:30 pm - be on time as we have a lot of scouts and a lot to cover in a short period of time.
  • We will be making - as a group- a morse code signal key (requirement 1) at this meeting.
  • We will also be discussing as a group the proper time and place to use Morse code and
  • Semaphore as well as newer more modern methods of signaling in use today to meet requirements 5 and 6
  • We will also be sending an receiving messages to meet requirement 2-3-4. Please review and practice your Morse Code and Semaphore (Flag) codes before the meeting. You will need to demonstate your knowledge and ability to send and receive a message to meet these requirements.

Most of you interested in this badge already have blue cards issued at the Coast Guard campout - Mr. Mayer has those and will bring them. If you do not have a blue card please ask Mr. Mayer at the meeting.
 
As this is a historic merit badge all requirements must be competed and signed off prior to 12/31/10 in order to earn the badge - there will not be a makeup session for this badge.
