Summer camp starts this Sunday! Packing checklist: packing.
Drop Off
Arrive between 12:00 and 12:30, and meet in the small grove between the parking lot and small pond. We'll load most of the gear and get it down to the campsite. If you arrive after 12:30, you'll need to get all your stuff down to the campsite yourself.
Our camp site is Seneca again. (Official check-in begins at the campsite approximately 1pm.)Don't forget: - Do your pre-reqs and bring them, along with other required supplies. (Example: first aid kit for First Aid MB.)
- We will spend Sunday after dinner reviewing with each scout. If they are not complete, the scout cannot take the badge.
- Any medications must be 1) in a clear zip-lock bag , 2) clearly marked with scout's name, 3) clear instructions.
- Pete will be the medicine man with his tackle box (with a lock).
- OA members should bring their OA sashes.
DON'T PACK: - cell phones
- this will be enforced; cell phones will NOT be allowed even if you'd like to use it "just as a camera"
- you can ask the adults to take pictures; or, with Scout Master permission, you MIGHT be allowed to bring an ACTUAL camera
- electronics
- sheathed knives
There will be a pizza night during the week to make up for Casino Drive clean-up. Probably on meatloaf day…
Pickup
Pickup on Saturday, Aug 1: There will be a brief (only about 30 minutes) closing ceremony at the parade ground starting approximately 9:30, after which the scouts are dismissed. Please note: - The parking lot fills up early and the ceremony starts promptly as soon as all the scouts are assembled, so it is strongly suggested you arrive before 9am.
- Please do NOT meet at the campsite: too many parents there will slow us down from packing and clean up.
