SUMMER CAMP MEDICATIONS

posted Jun 25, 2019, 8:57 AM by Alex Karn
If your Scout(s) need to take meds during the week of camp:

Please provide a WEEK'S (please don't give us 90 pills) supply of meds in the original prescription bottle or OTC container, along with dispensing instructions. If you use a pill organizer like old guys such as Mr. Greg Karn uses, please either include a list of meds with physical descriptions or toss in empty containers, in case we have to ID what's what.

Medications will be kept in a lockbox, and dispensed by adults.

Medications that need refrigeration will be stored in the Health Lodge and dispensed by the Health Officer.

General meds such as Motrin, Tylenol, etc., will be available, and will be dispensed if you have given permission on your scout's medical form.

If your scout needs an emergent medication such as a rescue inhaler or an Epipen, it is requested that the scout bring two, so that he can carry one and one can be kept in the Health Lodge. We recognize that the cost of these things can be absurd, so if the scout only has one, he should carry it at all times.
