The notes from this week's meeting are as follows:

  • Fundraising
    • As of last week, we needed 17 more cookie dough orders to meet the minimum amount that the troop had to order.  As of this week, we need about six more.
    • So, please order cookie dough if you haven't already, this is so that you don't have to pay an extremely large amount of money to go on camping trips, and other activities we do hear at the troop.
  • Troop Committee Meeting -- 7pm, Tue, 11/13
    • Want to help deliver a great scouting program to our boys.. but don't know how to help?  Attend the Troop Committee meeting.  This is where adults discuss and plan of upcoming activities  All troop parents invited to attend
  • Regular Troop Meeting -- 7pm, Thu 11/15
    • On 11/8 Alex taught a course on Leave No Trace.
      • Since we have to memorize the all seven points of Leave No Trace (to do better at the Klondike Derby), please memorize the first principle of Leave No Trace for this meeting.  (It is is available in the Scout Handbook.)
    • At the 11/6 meeting, we are going to be doing an orienteering lesson, so we ask you to bring your compasses.
    • Ockanickon Trip -- POSTPONED
      • Ockanickon sustained moderate damage in the hurricane and nor'easter, and is closed pending its review of facility safety.
      • Thus, the camping and cope trip planned for 11/16 to 11/18 is postponed indefinitely.
    • No meeting during Thanksgiving break
    • The Court of Honor -- RESCHEDULED -- 7pm, Thu 11/29
      • The Court of Honor -- originally scheduled for 11/15 -- has been moved to Thu, 11/29
      • 7pm at the Church
      • Wear full Class A's (including Merit Badge sash -- if you have any merit badges)
      • Do a Good Turn: please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to local food bank
        • There is plenty of need this year given the general need for holiday food baskets in addition to hurricane relief efforts
