 During the weekend from April 25th to April 27th many interesting things happened. On Friday we had a high of 57 degrees and a low of 39 degrees. On Saturday it was a high of 68 degrees and a low of 46 degrees. On Sunday it was a high of 59 degrees and a low of 43. Scouts on this trip were: Zack C., Sean, Chris, Rich, Shane, Zack N., Christian, Mark Anthony, Laik, Harris, Liam, Rahil, Ryan, John, Jared, Luke, Tommy, Elias & Matt. We went seining with Ms. McDonald & Mr. Alfonse (from MAST)and caught a green crab, a flounder, and lots of dead man’s fingers (sponges). We encountered two horseshoe crabs (she was laying eggs) they went upstream. Later we played volleyball and "keep away" at the next campsite over. In the afternoon we went on a hike to Battery Gunnison and Gunnison Beach which had a perfect view of Manhattan. Mark Anthony was advanced to First Class and Laik advanced to Second Class. Both scouts completed their board of review and Scoutmaster conference on the trip. Congratulations! All in all it was a fun trip. Yours in Scouting, Christian Smith |
