Here are the details:
To be eligible for nomination Patrol Leader (PL) you must:
Be a member of the Patrol
Be current on your troop dues
Be able to complete your term before your 18th birthday
The troop expects that you will commit to:
Attending all (most) troop meetings
Attending all (most) camping trips
Attending all (most) fundraisers
To be eligible for nomination for Senior Patrol Leader (SPL) you must
Be a member of Troop 150 and at least a First Class Scout
Be current on your troop dues
Be able to complete your term before your 18th birthday
The troop expects that you will commit to:
Attending all (most) troop meetings
Attending all (most) camping trips
Attending all (most) fundraisers
You MAY run for multiple terms in any position.
You may NOT nominate yourself.
If you are nominated and do not feel that you can commit to the position you MAY decline the nomination.
If you are nominated for multiple positions but really would rather do one or the other you can decline one of the nominations. (Let the Scoutmaster know or let the troop know before the election if you want to decline a nomination.)
3) Speeches and Voting
At the election meeting, candidates should be prepared to make a speech as to why they want the job and why the troop members should elect them.
You must be present at the election troop meeting to vote.
You MAY vote for yourself.
4) Appointed positions:
Following the elections (usually within the next week or two):
ASPLs will be appointed by the new SPL
APL's will be appointed by the new PL's
Scribe, Quartermaster, Bugler, Troop Guides, Librarian,Chaplain, Webmaster, and Historian, will be appointed by the new SPL and Scoutmaster.
OA rep will be appointed by the OA members
